The Planning Portal, the government’s one - stop - shop for planning and building information and guidance online is hosting a series of free training events.

The Portal hosts the national online planning application service which allows the electronic submission of applications to any district level planning authority in England and Wales.

The free two - hour workshops will be of interest to anyone who submits planning applications. The session will discuss the online planning application service and introduce the Standard Planning Application Form which will become mandatory in October 2007.
