The 10th edition of the International Biennial Fair of the Electric, Electronic and Light-technology Industry promises to largely exceed prior editions. Year after year, it has grown by adding companies and expanding the number of visitors, to become an international benchmark for this sector. For a decade, it has accompanied the country in good times and also throughout its repeated crises. Now, in full splendor, it will commemorate its first decade. The organizer of the exhibition, Indexport Messe Frankfurt, together with CADDIEL, are working and doubling their efforts to surprise both visitors and exhibitors alike. The latest edition of the exhibition had a total area of 33.000 sq mt, with 364 companies present. 38.402 professionals visited the booths, of which 2.113 came from countries such as Germany, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, US, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. That was a record number of visitors ever, 25% above the prior biennial fair.
There is a range of academic activities to take place in this 2007 version. A highlight is the 2nd Technical – Scientific Contest, whose main objective is to promote interest in the technological areas in the exhibition and the congress, as well as to encourage study and research. Once more the jury will comprise prestigious characters from institutions, trade chambers and universities as well as prestigious independent professionals.
Also, in line with the tradition of BIEL light+building, the 10th International Technical Congress will be held, with world-class speakers who will lecture on four thematic axes: energy, lighting, electronics and safety. It will be a not-to-miss event for industry benchmarks.
One of the news of this edition is a development of the Letter of Intent signed by BIEL light+building and the ELI (Efficient Lighting Initiative) award to hold a joint 3rd edition of the Efficient Lighting Award.
BIEL light + building is the perfect venue for manufacturers and service providers to disclose state-of-the-art technology, products and applications in the electricity, electronic and light-technology markets.
