"Le Corbusier: A Lesson in Modernity" is a retrospective of the famous architect's works from the start of his career to the 1960's, starting in Lisbon and then travelling to Liverpool and London.

"Le Corbusier - The Art of Architecture", at Museu Colecçao Berardoa in Lisbon from 19 May through 17 August 2008, goes over 60 years in the famous architect's career, from his early years in his hometown La Chaux-de-Fonds to Rochamp Chapel and his buildings for Chandigarh in India.

The commemorative exhibition illustrates some of the key themes of his work, starting with his interest in the Mediterranean and the East, looking at his propensity for organic forms and his experimentation with new technologies.
The exhibition includes 20 original paintings, 8 sculptures, 80 original drawings, about 50 first editions from Le Corbusier's library and more than 70 objects from the architect's own personal collection, which will travel to Lisbon and then to Liverpool and London.
