The Asia Pacific Cities Summit, founded in 1996, is Brisbane City Council's signature international event. Recognized as the region's leading business and government forum, the Summit provides a dynamic and interactive platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and successes between cities in the Asia Pacific. The summit is also an important platform for trade development between participating cities.

Each summit attracts between 600 and 1000 delegates, including civic and business leaders, decision-makers and academics from key Asia Pacific cities. The participation of cities outside the Asia Pacific region in recent years highlights a growing interest in the APCS on a global level. The Summit is held biennially, the host city alternating between the City of Brisbane and host cities in the Asia Pacific region.

For businesses, APCS presents a unique opportunity to network with government and business leaders throughout the region, showcase products and services and explore new markets in an interactive environment. Each summit boasts a business forum ideal for meeting and pursuing opportunities with potential trade partners.
