The prize for the best design by a person or group who have not reached
their 30th birthday on 31 July 2002 is £5000 and a certificate of
commendation. The best entry by anyone who has not reached their 25th
birthday on the above mentioned date will be awarded £2500 and the Drury
Medal of The Institution of Structural Engineers. The best entry submitted
by an undergraduate(s) will be awarded £1000 and a certificate of
commendation.

This annual event is once again being run by the Educational Trust of The
Institution of Structural Engineers. The theme for this year is to develop
a demountable, mobile information centre which will also have facilities
for lectures, functions debates and formal teaching. The competitors will
have to produce the following:
* No more than two A1 drawings showing plans, general arrangements, and
relevant details
* A written statement not exceeding 1500 words giving an explanation of the
competitor's choice
Applications can be made by individuals or by groups of not more than 3
individuals, of which 2 must comply with the eligibility requirements. The
deadline for application is Friday 29th March 2002 and the completed
project must be received by Wednesday 31st July 2002.
