A high-calibre international jury will once again be judging the latest innovations in the aluminium industry at the European Aluminium Award to be held during this year's Aluminium. The award is now being presented for the fifth time. In 2006 the award is being organised for the first time as a partnership between the EAA , the GDA , the founders of the awards, the Dutch Aluminium Centrum, and Aluminium. This year the award will be supported for the first time by global players of the aluminium industry : Alcan, Alcoa, Corus and Hydro.

In view of the wide range covered by 'Industrial Design & Engineering' the European Aluminium Award 2006 will be awarded in the following categories: Aluminium End Product Award  aimed at the customers of aluminium and presents three prizes for:

3. Environment & Sustainability

1. Transport & Automotive
2. Building & Construction
3. Machinery & Electronics
