The Building Performance Awards at MIPIM are for occupied buildings completed between 18 and 48 months ago. MIPIM, the international property market, attracts over 26.000 delegates to Cannes every March including 6.600 end users and investors.

All entries will be exhibited by Building Performance on the London Stand at MIPIM, 11 - 14 March, Cannes. Award winners will be presented with their trophies in a special reception hosted on the London Stand central stage.

Entry Fees
The entry fee for each project entered is 700 Euro, 500 Pound, 800 US Dollars plus V.A.T of 17.5%.

Entry deadline
Deadline for receipt of entries is 21 December 2007. Judging will take place in January, and award winners will be notified by e-mail.

Categories
Sustainability Award

In this category the judges will consider:
1. Verifiable independent data on the building relating to energy use and carbon footprints.
2. Attainment of recognised national or international environmental certificates.
3. Evidence that environmental principles have been achieved in practice.
4. Data submitted on practical use of renewable energy generation.
5. Energy / waste saving measures.

Productivity Award
In this category the judges will consider:
1. Verifiable or independent evidence from post occupancy analysis studies.
2. Productivity outcomes and achievements compared to pre-occupancy client targets.
3. Evidence from the occupier that the building is contributing to improvements in their key performance indicators – sales, staff turnover, sick days, productivity.

Placemaking Award
In this category the judges will consider:
1. Evidence / commentary from local authority, community groups, development agency or other area stakeholders about the contribution of the building to its surroundings.
2. Details of footfall, changing patterns of use, public transport, vandalism.

Financial Performance
In this category the judges will compare to industry standards:
1. Information on level of occupancy.
2. Attained yields compared to expectations.
3. Information on sales values.

Client Satisfaction
The jury will make an award to the building they judge to have demonstrated the greatest evidence of client satisfaction.
