Prizes
The Grand Prize: The Top Photographer will have their work presented in a massive scale photo show on buildings in the top New York City Art Districts: Chelsea, Dumbo and Williamsburg. An Opening Event will be hosted at the Leo Kesting Gallery in Manhattan on 09 August 2008. They will receive: 2.008 Dollars cash, a full-press promotional campaign and a feature in our upcoming publication, The Annual.
Student Award: The Top Student Photographer will receive a 1.000 Dollars scholarship and a feature in The Annual.
Educator‘s Grant: The Educator of the Top Student Photographer will receive a 500 Dollars discretionary grant and a feature in "The Annual" for Teaching Excellence.
People‘s Choice Award: The public will vote on all the portfolios on our site and select their Top Artist. The Peoples Choice Photographer will receive a 500 Dollars grant and a feature in The Annual.
Outside the main prize we look for unique opportunities for every artist who submits work into our system. We have developed an incredible network of media/gallerists/buyers and we want to put that to work for you. So far we have gotten artists international media attention, gallery shows and sales. The success of our artists has been phenomenal. We only expect it to grow exponentially from here.

Questions & Answers
What type of photography do you accept for submission?
We are interested in ALL kinds of photography: fashion, fine art, still life, portrait, landscape, nature, travel, photo journalism, documentary, street photography, abstract, night, alternative process, tableau, other, music, culture, nude, etc.
Who owns the work / copyrights after it is submitted?
You do, of course. We really are just a few artists from Brooklyn and Manhattan trying to make real opportunities for others like us from around the world. We are not business people and have no intention of owning your work. We would not even know what to do with it if we took the copyrights somehow. Long story short, everything you submit is yours.

We want to be connectors. Do we take commissions on work we help you sell? Nope. We are not that smart. All of this is supported by sponsorship and the submission fee, which barely covers the expenses. This is all a grand adventure hosted by a few ambitious artists who want to make insane opportunities happen for all of you simply because we have been lucky enough to "make it" ourselves. It is going to be a fun ride and we have zero interest in abusing your trust and will never take ownership of your work. Ever.
Can I submit work if I live outside of New York?
Yes. Artists Wanted accepts submissions from all over the world. In fact, we'll install your work at the Leo Kesting Gallery in the Meat Packing District in New York City even if you can't make it to the opening.
Can I submit a hard copy of my work?
No. Submissions are only accepted online. If you have trouble with our online system, please e-mail us
How many images can I submit?
You can submit up to four images, plus a personal image that represents you. If you make it to the second round we may ask for more higher-res images for our judges to view.
Who is eligible? Do I need to have shown work publicly?
Everyone is eligible. We accept work from artists who have had public shows and those who remain undiscovered. We aren't interested in your work history; we are only interested in the quality of work you are producing now.
Will public votes increase my chances of winning?
Yes. Public opinion weighs heavily on the judge's decision. Submit your work early and encourage your friends and family to vote it up.
When is the decision made?
The winner will be announced Tuesday, 15 July 2008.
