Modernism as an architectural style has been with us for over 70 years, and architects are increasingly becoming involved in the repair and upgrade of Modernist buildings.

However, many buildings in the UK show not only the attributes but also the drawbacks of Modernist attitudes to planning, design, construction, and materials. With many listed or in conservation areas, handling these buildings can pose many questions.

We are delighted to invite you to this new one - day Architectural Review conference, supported by English Heritage. It will examine technical as well as aesthetic issues through case studies and commentary by practising architects and experts on Modernist architecture.
