Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, the work of architect Brian MacKay - Lyons represents exemplary contemporary design whilst retaining a distinctive regional sensibility. Both his built work and design thinking responds to the austere beauty of the landscape and to the vernacular building traditions that define its communities. MacKay - Lyons will be showing recent works including projects from the annual Ghost Research Lab summer school, which takes place on the coast of Nova Scotia atop stone ruins of a 400 - year - old village.
