The International Symposium of Barcelona Meeting Point will be held on November, 7th, 8th and 9th at Hall number 8, Fira de Barcelona (Plaza de España). It will count with the collaboration of the European Property Federation, the Global Real Estate Institute, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Urban Land Institute, and the business schools ESADE and IESE.

Five world renowned architects will explain on November 8th how architecture may work as a great engine for urban transformation. New and large public - used facilities are constantly proving, in a historically contrasted way, its outstanding sparking power to ignite urban transformation and regeneration projects. These architects will present some examples of such sparking projects and will also analyse the consequences that such have had, or will have, for the urban environments where they are located. Architecture as an engine of urban transformation will be the topic to be discussed by Perrault, Nouvel, Chipperfield, Bofill and Alonso

Out of the 20 exhibiting countries that will be present at BMP’06, a great number of exhibitors are from Central and Eastern Europe, Brazil and the Caribbean and, of course, Iberia. It is important to highlight two specific countries:
