The 4th "European Symposium on Research in Architecture and Urban Design EURAU ’08" Cultural Landscape is organised by the Superior Technical School of Architecture of the Technical University of Madrid ETSAM / UPM, in collaboration with the National School of Further Education in Architecture of Marseille ENSA, the National Superior School of Further Education in Architecture and Landscape of Lille and the Association of Superior Institutes of the cities of Brussels-Liège-Mons ISAI, with the support from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.

The EURAU program expresses the effort of a wide group of university teachers and researches, initially prompted by the French Ministry of Culture and Communications, to promote meeting forums in Europe. The acronym EURAU describes a confluence of goals that motivate these events, EU for Europe, R for Research, A for Architecture and U for Urbanism.
