Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and The Architects’ Association of New Brunswick (AANB) is hosting the AANB/RAIC Conference and Festival of Architecture, between 25 - 28 June 2008 in New Brunswick’s capital city, Fredericton. “Steering the Current” will be the theme of the festival which runs between 25 - 28 June 2008.

The RAIC is a voluntary national association established in 1907 as the voice for architecture and its practice in Canada. Representing more than 3.700 architects, the RAIC provides the national framework for the development and recognition of architectural excellence.

AANB is the provincial licensing body governing the licensing of architects and the practice of architecture in New Brunswick. As a self-governing body, AANB is dedicated to excellence in the profession of architecture while safeguarding the public and the profession.

The Festival offers delegates an opportunity to exchange ideas and to participate in professional development.

In addition, the AANB will be celebrating its’ 75th Anniversary and the second Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in New Brunswick Architecture will be presented. During the four days, over 300 delegates from across Canada will come to New Brunswick to learn, enjoy and celebrate everything the region and the profession has to offer in keeping with our Festival theme:

Architects: Steering The Current
In addition to professional learning sessions, awards and a celebration of the history of the profession in New Brunswick, there will also be a Trade Fair on  27 June 2008. The Trade Fair will be held from 09:00 - 14:30 with various prizes, social activities throughout the day and a wrap up between 14:30 - 15:30.

Registration and Fees
The cost for each exhibit booth is 1134.30 Dollars total. To register, attendants have to complete the enclosed form, attach the payment cheque and forward it back to the Association as soon as possible.
