The American Ceramic Society, in collaboration with the Ceramic Society of Japan and the European Ceramic Society, has initiated a new series of biennial meetings. The inaugural meeting of the 1st International Congress on Ceramics is a global event designed to facilitate discussion and planning concerning major issues that face the ceramic and glass industry, culminating in the development of a global roadmap for ceramics.
Play an important role in this global road-mapping effort by participating with more than 600 glass and ceramic leaders who are concerned with the future of the ceramics industry and technology. Shape that future by:

2006 Congress: A Global Roadmap for Ceramics
The 2006 Congress is developed and organized to produce a “Global Roadmap for Ceramics.” An international advisory committee will invite speakers on a broad range of ceramic applications critical to the technologies of tomorrow, such as ceramics in… energy, transportation, medicine and biology, communication, electronics, optical systems, aerospace, etc. The Congress will attract and showcase high level technical and administrative speakers from key industrial firms and academia, who can speak to their company ’s and industry sector’s vision of the future.
The end product of the ICC will be a publication in both electronic and print format that will include position papers written by invited speakers, along with content developed during workshop sessions. The volumes will include summaries of each of the technical focus areas chosen for the Congress, as well as a synopsis of the global ceramics field..
An exhibition or technology fair and an array of sponsorship opportunities will be provided to encourage industry participation and access to the anticipated, elite international audience of attendees.
