The Holcim Forum 2007 on the subject of urban transformation will take place in Shanghai from 19 - 21 April 2007. Sponsored by the Holcim Foundation, the symposium provides a platform for scholars and practitioners from the fields of architecture, urbanism, engineering, and other related disciplines to debate the future of the build environment.
Interested professionals wishing to present a paper are requested to submit a summary of the proposed content not exceeding 1000 characters, describing the presentation and its relevant to one of the following workshop themes:
- "Normative urbanism"
- "Informal urbanism"
- "Green urbanism"
- "Touristic urbanism"
- "Temporary urbanism"
For each of the five themes, a professional and an academic session will be held, moderated by guests from various disciplines. Four to five projects will be presented. Abstracts pertaining to one of the themes are requested.
