Ours is an era of microprocessors, wireless technologies, mobile devices, data fields, and tracking systems. From personal computing to ubiquitous computing, solitary and virtual worlds are being replaced by networked sociality, locative media, and responsive environments. A symposium about the transformation of architecture in a world of networked objects and spaces, Architecture and Situated Technologies seeks to identify new sites of research and practice at the intersections of architecture and situated technologies. Organized by Omar Khan, Trebor Scholz, and Mark Shepard.
