Dr. Beril Özmen Mayer of the East Mediterranean University made a speech titled "Memories, Realities and Dreams in Cities." She talked about a methodology she developed for establishing a life for the cities and its inhabitants by examining their memories, realities and dreams. Mayer emphasized the importance of including the inhabitants to the design process by saying "If the people do not possess the city, if they feel passive, nothing can be done" and added that individual characters were lost by the generalizations made.

Dr. Belkıs Uluoğlu evaluated the "one" and "many" concepts in her speech titled "The Specialty of the Individual Building and the Everydayness of the City." Uluoğlu examined the relationship between, with "one" the individual building and with "many" the building groups, neighborhood, city and settlements. She emphasized how to handle the city and with the reaction of the system to this, how to guarantee the non-absorption of the "one" by the "many".

Prof.Dr. Karen A. Franck made a speech titled "The Sensous City." She complained that the environment could not provide us the effect we feel and mentioned the relationship between light, water, human body, and sensorial concepts such as touch, movement, smell, taste and architecture. Franck emphasized the importance of movement and provided visual examples of the body and space relationship reflecting cultural effects. She talked about the changing effect of light according to its position, made conceptual explanations for the relationship of water with the city and also mentioned the relation of locality and modernity.

The last spokesman of the day was; Dr. Ümit Yılmaz from Clemson University. After quoting his impressions about Cumalıkızık, he mentioned a conservation project in Greenville, two cemeteries' location in the city and the changes they have faced in time.

After the seminars, the workshop studies continued in the computer labs.
