YTÜ'de Bilgisayar Ortamında Mimarlık Yüksek Lisans Programı (BOM) bünyesinde
Infotron ve YTÜ İnsan kaynakları desteğiyle ve Nilüfer Kozikoğlu yürütücülüğünde
bir workshop yapılacaktır.
13 - 14 - 15 Nisan 2004 tarihlerinde yapılacak olan 3 günlük workshop öncesi
13 Nisan 2004 Salı günü Kavram Araştırma Semineri düzenlenecektir.

Workshop Program:
Intro - day1 tuesday

Lecture on Becoming The Virtual and The Real by Frederico Fialho of Warp DS
(1hr)
Sample work _ extracts and examples of diagrammatic design, sample work from
Workshop1 (30 min)
Tools presentation_ design tools from 3Dmax presented by Ahmet T Koksal such as
warpers deformers, simple dynamic tools like fluids, forces and particles.
(2hrs)

Analysis and Mapping the same element in multiple levels
Students form groups of app 2p.
Choose a topic of investigation regarding natural, human activity or animal
behaviour in a spatial configuration. Find, make, and research a statistical
recording of such activity. Record instantly around university.
Chart and diagram collected data- always in reference to time
Phase1 - day2 wednesday

Interim presentation and discussions
Ideas on how to inform 3d or 2d forms/ shapes with diagrams
create growth pattern or evolution in time model
12:00 - 18:00
Studio time: dynamic form finding (Wednesday all day)
Diagrams inform surfaces or solid forms via form making deforming tools of the
software.
Animating the diagrammatic forms through the recorded data, observe the
potentiality of forms.
Reengineer diagrams and forms to create emergent behaviour.
Renderings recorded as jpgs are catalogued to form a matrix of possible forms-
enabling comparison of performance and type.
It is vital that all students work together in the same lab throughout the day.

Phase3
prototype production: the 3D models of forms prepared by the groups will be
submitted and analysed. Selected models wil be modeled in 3D printer by Infotron
and exhibited 2 weeks later.
