In the short course "Hotel Design", various Italian designers, hotel managers, real estate agents and financial experts will offer a painstaking analysis on the international demand for successful hotels. Professional hotel designers must be able to analyze the best existing hotel realizations in all categories -- city, resorts, golf, spa, conference , casino and airport -- and to combine them with unusual trends - fashion, charm, beauty, entertainment, minimalism. Therefore, professional hotel designers should be able to integrate design skills - from the contract to the most innovative architectural and interior design choices - with marketing and management competences.

Hotel Al Porto, Zurich, 2001; Monaco & Grand Canal, Venice, 2002; Bentley Hotel, Instanbul 2003: three original settings of both restoration and interior design that express the aesthetics of Studio Lissoni into accommodation industry. The workshop links a mix of hotel architectonic project added to interior design, with the aim to explore the next scenarios of hospitality, in order to offer through its results new hypothesis of furnishing by issuing a joint focus group and drawing.

The course is conducted for architects, designers and architecture and Design students, as well as for anyone interested in exploring the proposed issues.
The course is held at Domus Academy, via Savona 97, Milano. Lectures are held from Monday to Friday from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Domus Academy reserves the right to change the program due to unexpected professional commitments of the professors. All lectures will have english translation. Information about housing are available upon request.
Please send your application and curriculum vitae at Domus Academy (also by e-mail and fax) by May 24, 2004. The tuition fee is Euro 1.500 + IVA 20% (total amount Euro 1.800). The tuition fee for the students is Euro 1.200 + IVA 20% (total amount Euro 1.440). You must submit a certificate attesting your student status. For those who will only attend the lectures, the tuition fee is Euro 900 + IVA 20% (total amount Euro 1.080). The tuition fee must be settled by May 24, 2004 by bank transfer. Bank data will be given after applying.
Some partial and total scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship, send a request (faxes and e-mails are accepted also) to Domus Academy no later than May 7, accompanied by a request of admission and curriculum vitae. Postmark will not be considered proof of compliance with deadline.
