The SAMSA (Sumer Academy for Mediterranean Solar Architecture) 2004 is
organised by ISES, ISES Italia and Università degli studi Roma Tre. If you are
eager to learn about sustainable building design join us (Building design
knowledge is essential). SAMSA 2004 will mainly focus on useful design tools -
to assist building designers with the integrated design of renewable energy
technologies (RETs), as well as applying solar architecture strategies and
energy efficiency concepts in buildings in a Mediterranean climate.
Event languages - English and Italian.
Programme Overview:
Three days of interesting lectures presented by well-known European experts -
addressing up-to-date information on solar building design in a Mediterranean
climate.
Practical software and tools for building design following the 'whole
building approach' will be presented.
The rest of the programme will be dedicated to Design Workshop (practical
studio sessions), where participants will work in groups. You need to select one
of four topics for the practical sessions:
Buildings
Daylighting
Photovoltaic Systems
Solar Thermal Systems & Biomass.
The Scientific Coordinator of SAMSA 2004 is Dr. Patricia Ferro (Arch.) of ISES
Italia.
