ISMARMED Seminar will discuss problems and new ideas, share knowledge, exchange management experiences, develop a strategic vision for the future, enhance international awareness and foster global Mediterranean networking.

The seminar is supported by the European Union within the framework of the 6th PCRD. This is also the fifth in a series of regional conferences on the Modern Heritage launched by the UNESCO since 2001. It is organised together by the French Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) acting as main coordinator, the Cairo University Centre for Architectural and Engineering Design Support, the UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre, the Alexandria & Mediterranean research center (Bibliotheca Alexandrina).
