Gazi University, Urban & Regional Planning Departmen organizing a summer
school which is theme: Missing The Urban Natural and Cultural
Values: The Case of Atatürk Model Farm in Ankara
Summer School Objectives:
- To discuss the theme of “sustainable urban development” and
“urban green spaces in metropolitan areas” within an international and national
perspective.

To identify planning, management and policy tools to address problems at the
metropolitan level;
- To exchange national and international experiences;
- To develop a broad understanding about the fundamental problems facing large
urbanised areas;
- To improve the knowledge and abilities of the participants, and to integrate
theory and practice
- To develop analytical and policy making skills concerning the theme of the
workshop
Target Group:
Post-graduate and undergraduate students of city and regional planning,
architecture, landscape planning departments are the target group of the
workshop. They will work in international and multi-disciplinary teams, sharing
their own perceptions and uniting their common objectives in a coherent way
