Modern villa architecture and photography in Hunhgary 1927 - 1950
A photographic exhibiton of Hungarian villa architecture from the period between First and Second World Wars. The exhibition has been organised in conjunction with the National Office of Cultural Heritage and the Hungarian Museum of Architecture in Budapest.
Hngarian architecture and photography changed dramatically during the interwar years. Important clients made it possible to construct buildings such as luxurious villas, elegant flats, shops and cinemas that were based on the ideas of the internationally oriented Modern Movement. Architects became more and more convinced of the importance of the visual presentation of their work. Along with an increasing awareness of the photographer's creativity, this led to a growing and fertile co-operation.
