Tridimenciudad

The Tridimenciudad project was set up in 1997 with the aim to study the
architecture and the city. Nowadays, it is leaded by ETSAB students and it is
the launch pad of the international meeting of architecture and urban
disciplines that will take place in Barcelona from September the 5th to
September the 11th 2004. The aim of it is to study the city of the last decade.
Program:
colloquies
The idea is to establish parallel sessions of discussion rooms for a better
interaction of the participants. These colloquies will take place in 10
auditoriums with a capacity of 200 people maximum and will be guided by two
invited professors. Each guest will have an expounding time of 45 minutes after
which a final discussion will be opened.
itineraries
Tridimenciudad participants will explore Barcelona with the different means
of transport that the city offers and will join several tours. There is no need
to say that all the participants are free to take as many tours as they want
according to their interests and that can base their explorations on the
cartographic information that Tridimenciudad will offer.
workshop
It will be carried out at the Architecture school and will be considered an open
space with several work areas where quick design proposals will be developed.
The aim of the workshop is to make the participants reflect about the new
concepts and experiences gained during the exploration of the city and compare
them with their personal experiences in their own city.
leisure activities
These are all the parallel non accademic activities of the meeting that will
offer the possibility to visit exhibitions, join parties, chats, competitions,
concerts, etc.
