Open Competition:
Planning of the St. Gotthard Plateau and Reuse of Removed Material.
Objective
Following the removal of the St. Gotthard mass, an open competition will
be held.

The two themes of the competition are:
1. The development of the new St. Gotthard plateau
and new necessary means of communication;
2. How to reuse excess material left by the demolition.

General Information
The leveling of St. Gotthard will provoke important morphological,
climate, socioeconomic and cultural changes. In addition to competition
proposals, participants must also elaborate on how these changes will affect
their proposal.

Project Content and Submissions
Participants may develop one or both of the competition themes. Project
entries may include text, images, sounds, animations, film, models, etc, but
must be accompanied by a brief written description (approx. 350 words).

Entries must be submitted by November 30. 2004.

Publication
Entries submitted in accordance to competition regulations will be posted
on this website. Afterwards, projects chosen as finalists will be exhibited
and published on different media.

Jury and Prizes
The jury is comprised of members of the Associazione Otto Pragma and will
award entries that best respond to a project that will affect not only
geographical conditions but also the history of an entire continent.
A first prize of Fr. 1000 will be awarded for both of the two themes.

Copyright
Competition participants acknowledge the rights of Associazione Otto
Pragma to publish and reproduce, at any time, place or form, proposals sent
to them.

The participants declare to have the copyright ownership of all parts of
submitted projects.

The names of participants will always be cited as authors of the works
published by Associazione Otto Pragma.

Competition participants maintain legal rights to reproduce and resubmit
their work outside of Associazione Otto Pragma, provided that this
submission does not cause harm or is detrimental to the Associazione Otto
Pragma.

In the event that reproduction or resubmission generates any profit, this
sum will be divided between the author and Associazione Otto Pragma. The
percentage attributed to the author will be decided by the Associazione Otto
Pragma according to the amount of the contribution of the work used.
