
Objectives of the Competition
- To bring together architectural ideas from around the world, enabling the selectionof the best project to be located at the site occupied by the Moulin Rouge.
- To generate the discussion of ideas related to intervention in the case of buildings of historical importance.
- To provide contemporary solutions within the context of important historic settings.
Eligibility
- Architects and landscape architects from all around the world, working as individuals or in collaboration, as long as they have completed their studies (including bachelors).
- Architecture students are also eligible, but only under the direction of an architect.
- Multidisciplinary teams, as long as they have an architect as a team leader.
In any case teams should have 6 members at most.
Prizes
First Prize
- 3.000 Dollars
- Two air tickets to Paris to attend the prize-giving ceremony and the exhibition of the winning projects, which will be held in September 2009.
- Accommodation for three nights for two people in Paris.
- Conference with the winning architect at the Moulin Rouge.
- 200 copies of the exclusive Arquitectum publication "Paris 2009" which will include all the competition's winning projects.
- Tour and architectural tour in Paris, including: Le Corbusier's Paris projects, La Villette Park, the district of La Defense.
Second Prize
- 1.000 Dollars
- 100 copies of the exclusive Arquitectum publication "Paris 2009" which will include all the competition's winning projects.
Third Prize
- 50 copies of the exclusive Arquitectum publication "Paris 2009" which will include all the competition's winning projects.
9 Honorable Mentions (for each)
15 copies of the exclusive Arquitectum publication "Paris 2009" which will include all the competition's winning projects.
