Yarışma Bilgileri

This ideas competition, in a single stage, is organised in the framework of the UIA Congress Turin 2008, illustrating the theme: transmitting architecture. The aim is to create a UIA information point in the city of Turin, a place, dedicated to urban democracy where people can meet, relax.

To be designed as a public house for architecture, info point will be usable both day and night, when open and closed. Of a maximum surface of 100 m2, it will be built of recyclable eco-friendly materials and be equipped with communication technologies.

Eligibility
- The competition is open to students of architects old less 35 years at the time of registration.
- In case of team participation with students from other disciplines, the team leader must be an architect.
- Those who are related to the jury or Technical Committee members, may not participate in the competition either directly or through an intermediary.

Competition Language
The competition documents and the entries will be in English only.

Jury
The competition shall be adjudicated by an international jury composed of the following architects:

- Luca Molinari (Italy)
- Representative of the Municipality of Turin
- Representative of the Piedmont Region Executive branch
- Maria Theodorou (Greece)
- George Kunihiro (Japan)
- Reuben Mutiso (Kenya)
- Jennifer Lee (USA)
- Domenico Bagliani (Italy), who will sit as deputy member

Prizes
The total prize money amounts to 18.000 Euros, broken down as follow:

First Prize: 10.000 Euros, the first prize winner will also see his/her project realised.
Second Prize: 5.000 Euros
Third Prize: 3.000 Euros

The registering participant or the leader of the group will receive two free of charge registration to the Congress and will be invited to the prize giving ceremony.
