1. Theme

"Next Generation Mitsubishi Cross Country Vehicles"

< Requirements >

The design which takes Ecology in consideration.
The design which bubbles with ideas to enjoy our earth.
The design which proposes the value and the genre of new cross-country vehicles.

2. Eligibility

This competition is open to all persons, amateur or professional, who are interested in design and possess skills in any type of graphic arts. (drawing, drafting, photography, computer graphics, etc.).
Age or nationality is not objected.

3. Number of Entries

Any individual or group involved in producing an entry can apply.
Number of entries is not limited.

4. How to Enter

Submit graphics (drawing, drafting, photographs, computer graphics, etc.) representing the design idea and concept description mounted on panels. Entries should not exceed 3 presentation boards, A2 format.
Affix the appropriate section of the entry form on the back of the panels.
Models and other 3-demensional objects will not be accepted.
Complete the form in English or Japanese only.
Group applicants must designate one representative as the applicant, and place this person's name and address in the appropriate sections.
Attach one entry form to one entry.

5. Deadline

November 20th, 2001

Entries must be reached to the office between 10am~20pm on the weekdays only. There is an alternative to mail it or deliver it by yourself.
Entries will not be accepted in the form of Data, via Internet nor E-mail.

Universal attribute (being useful to all users regardless of their age, gender or disabilities)

Development potential etc.

8. Screening

< First screening >

Slated in December 2001
The screener, designers of Mitsubishi Motors ( A chairman of the Screening Committee : Mr. Olivier Boulay ) , will select about 30 designs from all entries.
< Second screening >

The designs which passed the 1st screening will be presented on the web site from December 2001 to January 2002. Popularity Poll will get under way and one entry will be chosen as "Internet Prize" (the design which gained the highest popularity).

Final selection and the announcement of each prize will be made in February 2002 by designers of Mitsubishi Motors and other experts out of the company.

9. Prize

10. Notice of Received Works

After both entries and entry forms are received, applicants will be registered and notified by mail.

11. Announcement of Results

Results of first screening will be presented on the web site.
Results of final selection will be notified only to the winners by mail.
Please note that this information will not be provided over the phone.

12. Rules and Terms

When mailing entries, insurance coverage is recommended in case of damage or loss during shipping.
The applicant shall bear all shipping costs. When shipping from overseas, packages must be clearly marked "no commercial value" to avoid customs charge. Large and excessively wrapped articles run the risk of being considered valuable items and taxed.
Entries must be original, unpublished works, to which the applicant owns all the rights.
Works entered into this competition may not be submitted to other competitions or published without the permission of Mitsubishi Motors.
Any applicant who wishes to protect his / her work by obtaining copyrights, design tights and / or any other intellectual property right must do so at his / her own expense. By entering the competition the applicant agrees that Mitsubishi Motors may use the submitted design for research purposes without restrictions.
In case of prize works or any other work designated by Mitsubishi Motors, the applicant agrees either to transfer to Mitsubishi Motors his / her intellectual property rights, or to grant Mitsubishi Motors the license to use such rights when Mitsubishi Motors so wishes.
Entries will not be returned. All applicants are personally responsible for making any copies of the designs before submitting them.

13. Announcement of Winners

All the entries which won the prizes will be publicized on the web site. (Acceptance of a prize offered constitutes permission to post the winners names and submitted designs for promotional purposes without further competition as permitted by law.)
