Rules

Participants in the competition accept the rules implicitly. Graphic
designers and students in graphic design school can present two projects.

Format: 40 cm (l)x 60 cm (h),free style on a flexible support, without frame
;text required (as signature): brief encounters (in the language of your
choice).

There is no charge for entering ; the deadline for sending projects is 30
March, 2002. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any project which is
offensive to morals, religious or national sensibilities and any project
which is against the rules. To retain secret, each unsigned project must
include a code chosen by the candidate. The inscription form supplied with
the participation application must list the projects with their respective
codes and the required information. If possible, include a CD-ROM (PhotoShop
images, actual size 300 dpi),or a 24 x 36 slide of each project submitted.
The organisers reserve the right to use all the information supplied by the
candidates as well as reproduction rights to insure promotion of the
exhibition and the catalogue. Any other usage will be made according to
copyright laws. Projects must be carefully protected for shipping, which is
to be paid by the candidates. The organisers shall in no way be held
responsible in the case of loss or damage to projects during shipping and
handling.

An international jury will choose the seventy-five projects which will be
accepted for the exhibition and the catalogue :each graphic artist chosen
will receive a catalogue; he jury will award a first prize of Euros 7,700, a
second prize of Euros 4,600 and a third prize of Euros 1,500. The jury will
deliberate on 9 April,2002 in Paris and will render their decisions on the
same day. The creators chosen will be informed by mail. The international
jury is made up of : Michel Bouvet (France), Xavier Bermudez (Mexico),
Vladimir Chaika (Russia), Uwe Loesch (Germany), Ahn Sang-Soo South (Korea)
and Corinne Orzechowski, representative of the SNCF.
