Yarışma Özeti(Summary):
With the proliferation of cell phones all over the world&Mac220;it is
estimated that there are over 80 million in the U.S. alone&Mac220;there is
an increasing demand for the construction of cell phone towers, especially in
suburbia and along expressways connecting metropolitan areas. This has led to
protests by citizens in neighborhoods which are the intended locations for these
towers. One of the major problems with these towers&Mac220;especially those
with guy wires&Mac220;is the danger they present to wildlife, birds in
particular. As a result, the U.S. government has imposed some guidelines for the
construction of such towers, and discouraged the construction of towers over 200
feet, as these would require guy wires for safety purposes.
The tower to be designed here should be no higher than 200 feet, have the
necessary attachments such as ladders for maintenance purposes, and generally
conform to the guidelines set down by the government.
