Yarışma Özeti(Summary):
The subject of the competition is to produce ideas and concepts for
an Audiovisual Lab (a center for art students working with New Media) at
Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts as an extension or conversion project at
or on the Academy's existing building in Leipzig. As basis of the
work on the competition task an intensive analysis of the theme of
working and teaching with electronic means and its influence on
architecture will be required and should slip into the design in
exemplary and pioneer shape

The competition
is to be an international, single-stage competition for ideas with
limited participation, to be preceded by a pre-qualification
procedure. About 20 entrants will be short-listed by the
pre-qualification committee.
Registration
of interest
Trained architects admitted to the Chamber of Architects or with
equivalent qualifications in their home country may register their
interest by submitting an application demonstrating their special
qualification for tackling this specific task dealing with the New Media
and their interactions with architecture.
In the competition must be marked »Audiovisual Lab« and sent by post
to the invitor at the address given here by
28 March 2001.

Please note that registrations of interest must be received by this date
in order to be eligible; it shall not suffice for applications merely to
have been posted on this date (according to the postmark).
Prospective candidates shall be responsible for ensuring applications
are received intact and in time.
Registrations of interest must comprise the following:
1. The completed and signed form confirming willingness to participate
if selected by the pre-qualification committee

Word-Document;
as Text-Document)
2. Up to three illustrations on paper up to DIN A4 in size showing the
prospective candidate's own work on a relevant topic.
3. Up to two pages of text up to DIN A4 in size presenting the
prospective candidate's own ideas on a relevant topic.
Any additional or more extensive documents received shall not be
assessed and may lead to disqualification. Please note that the
documents submitted for the registration of interest cannot be returned.
