Registration closes on December 15th and submissions
are due January 30, 2004. Three sites were identified for contextual purposes
and represent some of the unique challenges of designing affordable housing in
New York City - they are an infill building in Manhattan, a mid-rise building in
Brooklyn, and a low-rise high-density site in Queens. Proposals can be submitted
for one or all of the sites.
Cash prizes totaling $45,000 will be awarded after
review by a jury of national experts in February 2004. The competition will be
managed through the American Institute of Architects.
