Description Architects and scholars from a wide range of disciplinary
backgrounds will meet to debate the impact of modernism in the Middle East,
where rapid modernization has met with deep traditions. Challenges facing
architects who work in the region today will be addressed within the context of
nationalism, regionalism and current debate of globalization.
