In final day, the projects coming out of the workshop were displayed and
evaluated by the jury. Group suggestions were presented and then individual
proposals were mentioned.

Day
- 03 June 2004, Thursday
In the last seminar of the workshop, Dr. Türkan Ulusu Uraz of the East
Mediterranean University, spoke about "The Extrovert Courtyard House: Urban
House Typology in Mardin.” In her speech she mentioned the extrovert courtyard
houses of Mardin, where settlement constituted the form and also the general
house typology.

Day -
02 June 2004, Wednesday
Dr. Beril Özmen Mayer of the East Mediterranean University made a speech
titled "Memories, Realities and Dreams in Cities." She talked about a
methodology she developed for establishing a life for the cities ant its
inhabitants by examining their memories, realities and dreams.
Fifth
Day - 01
June 2004, Tuesday
Prof.Dr. Mehmet Ocakçı made a speech titled "Urban Form
Characteristics." He mentioned some theories developed for the urban space
and explained the urban form characteristics by concepts such as texture,
continuity, consecutiveness, repetitive rhythm, direction, similarity,
transparency, dominancy, volume and closed ness, shape, ratio, hierarchy, size,
scale and time.

Day

31 May 2004, Monday
The first spokesperson of the program composed of
seminars and workshop was Prof.Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu. In her speech titled
"Culture - Space & Change," Dostoğlu mentioned the relationship
between culture, space and change by giving examples of prefabricated buildings
made after the earthquakes and also the local architecture.

Day - 30 May 2004, Sunday
After the analyses and drawings taking place in Cumalıkızık, a
technical excursion was made in Bursa by the guidance of Prof.Dr. Neslihan
Dostoğlu.
Second
Day - 29 May 2004, Saturday
The participants of the program met in ITU Faculty
of Architecture in the morning and went to Cumalıkızık Village of Bursa by
bus.
First
Day - 28 May 2004, Friday
In the first day of the program on May 28th – June 4th
of 2004, opening speeches were made and information was given to the
participants regarding the program of the workshop.
